Who answers when your AC dies.
A deliberately small HVAC practice for Birmingham's east corridor. Three services. Five cities. A licensed technician on every job. No call center, no ticket numbers, no quote bots. When you dial (205) 206-5252, the phone rings on a truck.

Built small on purpose.
Emergency AC Repair Service was built on a single observation: when a Birmingham HVAC system fails at 2 AM in the middle of an August heat wave, most companies are closed. The ones that answer often route you to a call center, quote over the phone without seeing the unit, and dispatch whichever technician is available — not necessarily the one qualified to diagnose your specific failure. We built this practice to do the opposite. Three services. Five cities. One licensed technician per job, same face on the truck who answers the phone. It is a boring model. It works.
Why the east corridor.
Most Birmingham HVAC companies headquarter downtown or south along Highway 280, which means every east-side call starts with a forty-minute drive. We made the opposite bet: a practice based east of the metro so that when a homeowner in Leeds, Moody, Pinson, Clay, or Springville calls, we are already on the right side of the interstate. That single decision shapes every other decision. We keep a tight service radius. We decline calls we cannot reach quickly. We refuse to over-commit a drive that puts us hours behind on the next emergency.
What we actually do.
Three things. Emergency AC repair — capacitors, contactors, fan motors, compressors, control boards, refrigerant recovery and recharge. Ductless mini-split installation — garages, workshops, historic homes, bonus rooms, multi-zone residential. Preventive maintenance — coil cleaning, pressure checks, contactor inspection, documented photos. When a job falls outside those three, we refer you honestly to a larger partner and bow out. There are no ancillary services, no upsells, no television ads, no membership clubs. Just the three things we know how to do exceptionally well.
Written estimates, always.
We do not quote repairs over the phone. We do not publish flat prices online because the real cost depends on what is actually wrong with your unit. What we do is send a licensed technician to look at the equipment, diagnose the failure, and put a complete written estimate in your hand before any wrench turns. You read it. You sign it. We fix it. Every repair leaves behind a written invoice and photographs of the work. For the kind of trust residential HVAC should run on, that is enough.
Three steps, no theater.
You ring, we answer.
Phone rings on a technician's truck, not a call center. We ask three questions: address, make/model if you know it, what you're seeing. If we can't reach you quickly, we say so.
We show you what's wrong.
Every system gets a full diagnostic. Capacitors tested, refrigerant pressure checked, airflow measured. We explain the failure in plain English and write an estimate before you authorize anything.
First-visit repairs, documented.
Commonly-needed parts ride on every truck. Most repairs finish the same visit. Work is documented with photos, a written invoice, and manufacturer warranty details on any installed parts.

Real people. Not a call center.
When you dial (205) 206-5252, the phone rings on a truck, not in a call room. The person who answers is the same technician who will diagnose your system. That changes every conversation. No handoffs. No "I'll have someone look into it." No ticket numbers.
“If I can't explain what's wrong with your AC in terms a homeowner understands, I haven't diagnosed it properly yet.”
Our lead tech is NATE certified and EPA Section 608 licensed for refrigerant handling. He has worked on every major brand in the Birmingham market — Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu. The commonly replaced parts ride on the truck. Most emergency repairs finish on the first visit.
The business was built small on purpose. A tight east-corridor territory. Three services. Licensed human being on every job. When homeowners ask what makes us different, the answer is usually boring: we just show up, we do the work, we tell you what it cost in writing before we start.
The I-20 and I-59 east corridor.
Every one of our trucks is based east of the Birmingham metro. That means we are on your side of the interstate before most downtown companies have dispatched. We decline calls we can't reach quickly — no over-committing, no wasted drives.
